Hydro Jetting

Casteel Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Electrical wants to take Amazing Care of you so we have expanded our plumbing services and added Hydro Jetting as a staple plumbing service.

What is Hydro-Jetting?

Hydro jetting – also known as water jetting or sewer jetting – is a process in which highly pressurized water is used to clear out clogged drains and sewer lines. Since there is so much pressure – upwards of 4,000 PSI – hydro-jetting can cut through a lot of debris in your pipes like tree roots, grease, sludge, soap.

Our trailer-mounted hydro–jetter has a 300-gallon water tank, a high–powered pump, and multiple flexible hoses, which are used to clear out drains that are either partially or completely blocked. The equipment can clear out just about any drain stoppage. It’s important that equipment of this nature is used only by trained professionals, as misuse could result in further damage to your plumbing system.

Why should you get professional sewer jetting?

While we offer professional cleaning services with our certified plumbers, hydro-jetting is the best way to deal with clogs or blockages beyond the reach of hand tools. If your drain or sewer is completely blocked with tree roots or grease or other items, blasting the blockage with pressurized water is an easy solution to the problem. Plus, you won’t be exposing your pipes to harsh chemicals – only water.

Applications for Hydro-Jetting

Drains

Drainage pipes located within buildings walls or underneath the structure are typically the responsibility of the property owner. Blockages in these pipes can form from grease, soap residue, dirt, or debris accumulation. A hydro-jetter can easily cut through those blockages even if there are angles within the pipes depending on the cleanout location.

Sewer Laterals

Sewer laterals or sewer lines connect a property’s drains to a county or city owned main sewer. Like the drainage pipes, it is the property owner’s responsibly to maintain and repair the sewer line up to the county or city right of way. Sewer line blockages can happen from tree roots, grease buildup, soap residue buildup, dirt and debris buildup.

Mainline Sewers or Sanitary Sewers

These pipes are usually under streets that connects sewer lines to a city’s water treatment plant. These pipes are usually at an angle and the wastewater flows freely due to gravity. Blockages in mainline sewers or sanitary sewers usually happen due to tree roots, grease, soap residue, and debris. High pressure water jetting can help clear out these pipes and get water flowing easily through again.
